The NEF Grants Program funds innovation district wide at Northside ISD in San Antonio, TX. Since, 1995, NEF has given out $2.8 million in grants to Northside employees, primarily teachers.  District employees can apply four times a year. The first round is for grants up to $500, then two rounds of grants up to $1000 and one round of Team Grants of up to $10,000. In 2011, the Foundation’s leadership created Continuity Grants. Prize Patrol

The Prize Patrol, along with Apple Eddie, made a visit to Leon Spring elementary to award four very dedicated staff members who are the recipients of a NEF Grant! We would like to thank all the NEF donors who are making incredible things happen for our students and helping staff members, such as these ladies, put their innovative teaching ideas into action! Pictured are (from left to right) Jessica Shults - 3rd Grade Teacher, Marty Ortega - Counselor, Apple Eddie, Kim Reznicek - Reading Specialist, and Vickie Cahill - 2nd Grade Teacher.
